Blanca del Río (Seville, 1988) is a cultural manager and independent curator based in Barcelona. She specialises in the coordination of exhibitions in contemporary museum institutions, having undertaken this role at the Picasso Museum Barcelona (2018-2022) and at MACBA since 2023. In 2018 she co-founded FASE, which she directed until 2024. She has also curated exhibitions such as “Se propagarán sin retorno ni distancia” (Injuve, Madrid, 2023-2024), “¿Cómo puedo enamorarme de este jardín?” (FASE, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, 2022), “About Curls, Confluences and Resonances” (ArtLacuna, London, 2021) and “Sólo es verdad lo que sucede cada trescientas noches” (Galería Alarcón Criado, Seville, 2021). Her practice also involves writing, accompanying the work of artists or exhibition projects for institutions, galleries or independent publications.
