Bleda and Rosa (María Bleda and José María Rosa) emerged in the 90s with their works representing territory and history. Within their generation in Spain, their series have been among those that have paid the most attention to the complexities around the representation of landscape. In 2008 they were awarded the Ministry of Culture’s National Photography prize. In 2022, they were the focus of an expansive retrospective at the KBr Fundación Mapfre in Barcelona and in 2023 at the Museo ICO in Madrid. They live in Valencia.
