Carmen Secanella is a photographer. At 21, she began working as a photojournalist for the weekly newspaper in Alcañiz (Teruel). In 1996, she returned to Barcelona where covered daily news for the newspaper ‘El País’. Since then she has not abandoned writing for the national press, collaborating with other publications such as ‘La Vanguardia’ or ‘El Correo’. Her activity within the documentary genre has resulted in long-term projects and in territories with specific complexities, such as those she undertook in Melilla or Palestine.
