Currently retired, Josep Amorós always worked for financial institutions. Alongside his professional life, however, he maintained a significant, restless artistic spirit that, at the end of the 70s, led him to enrol at the Escola d’Arts i Oficis de Barcelona, where he studied under tapestry professor Josep Grau-Garriga. Although Amorós did not complete his art studies, he kept regular contact with Grau-Garriga and participated in several of the environments that the artist created around the world, including one at the Fontana d’Or (Girona, 1977); La muntanya serà nostra (Vermont, USA, 1978) and one at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dubai (1980).
