Vijay Prashad is an Indian historian and journalist. Vijay is the executive director of Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research, the chief editor of LeftWord Books and is a non-resident member of the Chongyang Institute of Financial Studies, Renmin University of China. He is the author of forty books, including The Darker Nations: A People's History of the Third World (2012), The Poorer Nations: A Possible History of the Global South (2013), and The Withdrawal: Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, and the Fragility of U.S. Power (2022), written with Noam Chomsky.
